So starting yesterday I have decided to implement a life style change. I read this book "It Starts with Food" It gives you a scientific and physical purposes of food. It talks about how all the process foods we have consumed change they way our body signals us to being full, whats bitter, whats sweet, and whats fatty and how they even affect our hormones. It was extremely interesting, and I found it doable. (positive thoughts) the strict diet is for 30 days then you can slowly introduce things in, but within reason. You are suppose to not even want those "bad" things any longer after the 30 days. You cut out sugars, processed foods, breads, beans, nuts (PEANUT BUTTER-if you know me this is going to be the hardest) alcohol and dairy.
Im going to update this as much as possible to share the meals I use, and track how I feel.
4/22
Breakfast: Strawberries, Canalope, and honeydew
Lunch: Tuna with Paleo Mayo (egg, mustard, light tasting olive oil, lemon juice and salt) on a salad
Dinner: chicken (cooked in coconut oil) sundried tomatos, broccoli, balsamic vinger (sugar free) and garlic.
4/23
Breakfast: eggs cooked in coconut oil, and strawberries
Lunch: Salad with Paleo Ranch Dressing (Garlic, italian seasoning, the paleo mayo, salt peper and lemon juice)
Dinner: extra lean ground meat, onions, red bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, ginger, cinnamon, on top of baby spinach)
Im really excited about this. Im trying to stay positive because I know by cutting things out my body is going to crave them. The hardest part is snacking on Colins food when I feed him, I find myself wanting to eat his goldfish, his PB&J sandwich, his yogurts etc Which is ridiculous, since I never ever ate these things before colin. Well PBJ yes. I think the hardest thing will be - alcohol, sugar cheese and peanut butter. I had a minior freak out when I saw no peanut butter...
So far I feel good, Ricky ate an oreo ice cream cake tonight and I cant get it out of my mind. Mind of matter. right??? I dont really feel any different yet, Im sure the effects will start soon. Keep everyone informed....
4/24
Breakfast: sweet potato hash, with two eggs cooked in coconut oil
Lunch: Salad with Paleo Ranch dressing
Dinner: Crab Cakes with coconut flour, on top of a salad with Paleo ranch dressing
Today I feel tired, not sure if its the stress from Colin being in the ER or if its the diets beginning side effects of the diet. Im sure its both, hopefully soon enough my energy will come back.

11 months, only two weeks late
Well my mook is 11 months old. Well at this time, 11 months two weeks. I will have a one year old on my hands in no time. He has gotten his second tooth, so he has two bottom teeth. It really is something cute!! He is full on walking the furniture. He is getting good at it also. He is trying to stand on his own, hes shaking and only can do it for a few seconds but he's trying :)
That cough he had at 10 months, he still has, its been almost 5 weeks, makes me so sad. And as parents we have had the worst experience yet. He had a fever of 104.1 so we rushed him to the after hours at his doctor. Such a bad idea, never again, they tried to cath him while we were there, and he was SCREAMING for five -10 mins, he was dripping in sweat and was so devestated, he passed out in Ricky's arms. They told us nothing was wrong, that his White Blood Cell count was 17.5 and it was nothing to worry about and sent us on our way.
Well fast forward, we end up in the ER that night, because his fever went back up again, well they had to cath him again, and this time it worked and he wasnt as hysterical as he was the first time. they also had to draw blood, they left the line in because they gave him an IV antibitoic. We didnt get home till 2 am. He didnt wake till almost 11 oclock!!! We did a follow up with his dr today, and they couldnt tell if it was bacteria or viral yet, because it hadnt even been 24 hours since the cultures were taken. We have another appointment tomorrow.
What had thrown us through such a loop was literally 30 mins prior we did a test round because he was suppose to have his cake smash the next day, and he ate almost an entire cupcake.
He is such a good boy, he really has become himself within the last few months. He says "MA" instead of mama and "Dad" instead of dada. He gives kisses which is my absolutely favorite. You ask, and he gives them. He really is extraordinary little dude. I look forward to everything that will come.
His greatest accomplishment this month was he got to meet Brobee and Toodee From Yo Gabba Gabba, he knew EXACTLY who they were, the moment he saw them, he stopped moving and didnt take his eyes off of them. You could actually see the wheels turning "wait-they arent in my tv..OH MY GOD!!" lol it was great

10 months, a trip and something new..
Colin turned 10 months, I can't believe it. And of course in typical stacey fashion hes almost 11 months before I got a chance to update this. A lot has happened in the last month.
We celebrated Colin's First St. Patrick's day. We were able to walk in the parade they have on Atlantic Ave with Mellow Mushroom. It was an awesome experience, just dont know if we will do it again. It was very hot, and Colin was very upset towards the end. It was a long day.
Colin and I went to Boston for my grampys his great gramps funeral. It was a sad trip but we spend seven days in mass. Colin got to see snow, and we drove from philly to mass. We stayed in a hotel room, and did all the things I use to do when I was a kid. When he got back, he got sick had to take him to the dr, he weights 19.9lbs and has croup which is a cough infants get.
We spent Easter at home then went and saw Ricky's parents which was nice. Had dinner, and hung out for a couple hours. This Easter was Colins last first. It makes me so sad, I can't believe how grown my baby is. No more firsts = no more baby. Not to mention COLIN HAS A TOOTH. That just salitifies him not being my baby anymore, oh and the walking of the couch and table make him a toddler....my baby is a toddler..
