Had my 8 month check up today! Everything is on track!! I lost 3lbs, its the new diet. We discussed where I'm giving birth (east boca), breast feeding (yes please), & epidurals (bringggg the meds)! haha After Dr. Lashway I met with Dr. Deutsch, we reviewed my sugars over the last week, and I received a perfect rating. We go back in two weeks, and see where I am at.
The diet is getting a little easier, I am kind of trying different things out (sweet potato tots all day) and seeing how my sugars react, and I have only had two spikes, which according to doc that is fine. I can treat myself every 5 days or so...bring on the cupcakes please.
Im feeling good, getting a little sleepy here and there. But with the constant moving and kicking and punching that goes on, there isnt much sleep being obtained.

Gestational Diabetes
well I went to the doctor yesterday to discuss my GD. I left and felt very upset. I explained to my dr I do not eat white starches. How I eat only whole wheat or whole grain. How I do not eat a lot of sweets if any, I only drink water, etc. He said since that is the case, the only thing for me to do is cut back on my portions. Basically, I am now eating half of what I was eating before and I have to test my blood 4xs a day. That pushed me over the edge into hysteria. Thank god for Ricky. He was so comforting, he went to the grocery store while i stayed home & relaxed (his orders), he came home with so much food, and even brought me flowers.
So last night for dinner, we made turkey sausage and peppers. I ate 1/2 of what i normally would, and basically went to bed starving. The Doc warned me the first week is going to be hard, even warned Ricky that I will be moody, tired, and sometimes aggressive. (fabulous)
There were a couple wonderful things that happened at the appointment. I was able to moose man, & they gave me his weight and length, 4.3 lbs and 17.2 inches. Big boy, he is in the 76 percentile and is measuring about a week and a half ahead. We were telling the drs assistant how we tried to do our 4D pics and he kept hiding, so to put a smile on our face she took 3, 3D pictures for us....Below are those pictures. I cried, and cried. He look just like Ricky. Has his nose, and he is just the most handsome little man I have ever seen in my life. It makes the anticipation of meeting him in 9 weeks that much more worse, haha.

St. Patricks Dayyy
So my little irishman had his first St. Patricks day! We had breakfast at the house with friends and family, then went over to the parade on Atlantic Ave. He slept all day! It was really nice watching the parade, I brought my tailgating chair, and would just sit where ever I wanted. No one even said a word, you can get a way with a lot being pregnant! haha
I also found out this week I have gestational diabetes, I go to the specialist on Thursday to see how my diet must change and what I have to do. Its a little nerve wracking, but I sort of had a feeling this was going to be the outcome. Its just frustrating because I know what I eat, and yes there's room for improvement but Im not a horrible eater. After looking at the diets online, I became even more frustrated because its pretty much everything I eat. Hopefully the doctor will be able to give me some answers. Only thing I know for certain is Im concerned for my munchkin, and Ill have to prick my finger. Ill post an update once I speak with the dr on thursday.
Here's are a couple pictures from St. Pattys day :)

7.5 Months
10 weeks to go! Had my three hour glucose test today, holy pin cushion. I was poked about 6 times to get 4 viles of blood. Fingers crossed that tomorrow, I will be told no diabetes. I had anxiety a little bit when I first was there, but after the 4th prick, I was fine. Haha
I put on 2lbs, not to bad, I am measuring at 31 weeks, a week ahead not to bad. I thought much bigger than that. According to Babycenter you are almost 16 inches, and weigh almost 3lbs. But Doc said 2 weeks ago you were 3lbs, so who knows. On Monday I have my 4d so well see how big you are then! :)
St. Pattys day is a couple days away. Were are going to have breakfast at the house with some friends, then head on over to the parade. Your first of many St. Patrick's day :)
Ricky & I took our maternity pictures on Saturday <3 <3 <3 Crystal (who is an amazing photographer, captures such great moments, and makes you feel so comfortable being in front of a camera) was kinf enough to post some pictures. Here is one for everyone to look at. Can't wait to make my book.
Ill post pictures of Colin on Monday :)

29 weeks
Here we are, 29 weeks. This week has been a rough one for me. I have been sick for eight days now, my glucose test came back-no bueno, I was 58 pts higher than the normal high. I was so high to them, they will not give me the three hour glucose test in case I do have gestational diabetes, && my 4D appointment for tomorrow has been rescheduled till the 19th. SO needless to say, not a great week.
On a positive note, we went to babies r us and got a dresser yesterday, thanks to Ricky's dad :) :) I posted a picture under Colin's room. Ricky & I also went and looked at different places to take maternity pictures. We are doing that on Saturday so that should be exciting. Ricky is also making a wooden clover with Colin etched into it for some of the pictures, which we will then hang in his room. Yesterday, seven new Dr. Suess books came in for the little man, he has almost as many books as his mother (haha maybe in another 55 yrs)
Now on too the moose man, He has been one active bugger lately. moving kicking punching. He just loves hitting me haha. He had the hiccups last night at like 3am, that was a nice surprise to wake up to. According to baby center, he is now the size of a butternut squash, and he should be about 15 inches, and 2.5 lbs, but we all know he is probably a little larger than that.
I havent weighted myself, I have my 7.5 month checkup next Friday, so we will know how im doing then. I went to the dr this morning to draw blood, they are going to see what my levels are without the glucose added. Hopefully I will know more tomorrow. I dont want to have to go all weekend not knowing whats going on.
Heres the newest picture of me, and the clover ricky is making. haha dont mind the face, was sending the picture to my sister.

Happy 7 Month lil guy
Weve officially hit the 7 month mark. Went to the dr yesterday, had my glucose test, took my weight, discussed when we decide your birthing plan, and I was given a guestimate on how big you are.
I wont find out the result of the glucose test till probably Monday, I've put on 26 lbs so far. Ill probably end up putting close to 40 on by the time you are born. I was told you are roughly 2.5-3lbs right now, which is a little big, in case you are large like daddy he was (10lb 10oz) then I will be induced early or have a csection. We will know more in the next month or so.
On Friday of next week, I will finally get to see your handsome face. We have your 4d pictures scheduled, and I couldnt be anymore excited!!! I just want to know what you look like, it kills me that you are a part of me and i have no idea what your face looks like. I hope you look just like your daddy, since hes the most handsome man in the world. I dont care if you look nothing like me, as long as you look like him <3
Well heres a picture of my ever growing belly!!! I swear its bigger than most people at 7 months. But thats ok, as long as you are healthy. I love you my main man, and can't wait till youre here. Dont come too soon, just dont come too late either ;-)
